One key reason we purchased from FFH was because of the white glove delivery service that is touted on your web site and what Milan and I spoke about prior to our purchase. Milan has been exceptional and we LOVE our set but the delivery is not at all what we expected. And we have been waiting on the delivery of the arm for one of our arm (it arrived broken and that does happen) chairs for a few weeks and I still have no idea when it will be delivered. Below is a series of events that lead up to our delivery. I received a phone call from HD Transport on or about 11/2 indicating we would be receiving a phone call in a few days to schedule delivery. Approximately a week later I did receive another call and was advised delivery would be sometime between 11/19-11/23. On Tuesday 11/17 I received another call confirming delivery for Monday 11/23. On or about 11/20 I received another call confirming delivery was still on track for Monday 11/23 between 11am - 1pm central. On Monday 11/23 at 1:15pm when the delivery company had still not arrived I began chatting on line with a customer service rep using your chat capability on your web site. After 30 minutes of chatting she was only able to tell me that she had no information other than someone from shipping would call me soon. Someone from shipping did call only to tell she was unable to get a hold of the driver. At 2:11pm I received a call from the driver himself indicating they would be here by 4pm. When I asked why I hadn't heard from him earlier he said his cell phone didn't work. At 3:12pm I received a call from HD Transport now indicating the driver wouldn't arrive until 6pm. At 4:26pm I received a call from someone different at HD Transport now indicating the driver wouldn't arrive until 7pm. At 7:17pm when the driver still had not arrived I called all 3 people who had called me earlier from HD. None of which answered their phone. I left each of them a voice message and NONE returned my call (even as of this writing). At 7:36pm I took it upon myself to call the driver trying the number he called me from earlier in the day. I got voicemail but had no idea if it was the driver or not since he had no recorded greeting on his voice mail box. At 7:44pm the driver called me back indicating he had gotten lost but said he was now 37 minutes away. At 8:36pm the driver finally showed up. Here are my concerns about the "white glove" delivery I feel we did not receive. 1. Communication was poor and in fact lacking. If these are professionals then everyone should have a recorded greeting on their voice mail box representing the company. Calls need to be returned in a timely fashion. As I said earlier 3 people from shipping/HD Transport never even returned my messages I left for them on Monday at approximately 5:17pm Pacific. 2. The driver said he was lost. In this day and age with GPS systems they should not be lost especially considering we live in an established metropolitan area (not in the forest). 3. The driver said his cell phone didn't work. Again, really, in this day and age. I believe this is unacceptable. 4. I heard excuses that included everything from weather to cell phones not working, to being lost. Any of which might be true but did the driver nor his management not know that he would be 7 hours and 36 minutes late earlier in the day so they could give me an accurate delivery time frame rather than stringing me along? 5. As for white glove quality: a. The drivers unloaded our entire dining room set in the middle of our street at nearly 9pm when it was quite dark. I feel as though this put our furniture at risk as car after car was forced to drive around the large pieces. Is this safe and proper professional delivery etiquette? b. Our china cabinet sat on our walk way for nearly 90 minutes in the cold damp air because the delivery men couldn't figure out how to lift it up one step and into our front door which was a straight shot into the house. They finally unboxed it where it was and dragged it up and in on a narrow piece of cardboard. Are the delivery people properly trained to move furniture of this magnitude? c. I put some throw rugs down to minimize the mess they would create from coming in from outside where it had snowed 3 days earlier (all snow and ice had been cleared for them but the sidewalk was still wet from melting snow). They stepped on the rugs when they brought in the china cabinet but then pushed them aside and did not put anything down to protect our flooring after that. Our floors were beyond filthy when they finally finished and it took me 2 hours to clean them. Do the drivers not carry drop cloths to put down in people's homes? d. Assembly. The drivers did not even have a level to level the buffet/China cabinet. Is this not part of setup? Today (2 days later) while I was finishing cleaning and filling the China cabinet and the table/chairs I realized that the table legs and the legs on all the chairs are not completely secured. I now need to find the proper size Allen wrench and go around and tighten each one. e. The drivers arrived here at 8:36 and left here at 12:18am. Is being on site for nearly 4 hours typical? I missed two very important business meetings with my customers, I was housebound an entire day, I ended up staying up until after 2:30am cleaning our home and missed a previously planned event on the evening of delivery that I was planning on attending. Please know we love our set but the overall shipping and delivery experience was quite poor.

The furniture was excellent .. more than we imagined. The delivery guys were very nice and professional. Overall, we are satisfied with Furniture From Home. If we could afford it, we would buy everything from you; however, your price range is a bit too high for our budget. But we will still look on your site in the future to see if we can buy other items.

This table is 6.5 ft long is that with a leaf?
