The humble roots of our family-run furniture company can be traced back to September of 2004, when we began as a co-op of unique furniture retailers nationwide. Back then, the purpose of our website was to advertise each retailer’s products. When orders were placed online, individual retailers took care of their own logistics and customer service. This system of operation proved to be unwieldy, with multiple involved parties and a series of inconsistencies. Milan Rousset, founder of Furniture From Home, was inspired to create a new online furniture store and enhance customer experience.

Back in 2005, as a result of his experience with managing a co-op of furniture retailers, Milan Rousset was inspired to make his mark in the burgeoning online furniture store industry. He understood that in order for customers to be fully taken care of, on a national scale, their needs had to be handled by one central entity. This epiphany is what ultimately made FurnitureFromHome.com the customer focused company that it is today.

Thanks to the success of each individual employee of FurnitureFromHome.com and the customers that make up our company’s purpose, FurnitureFromHome.com has had the opportunity to develop better customer-centric systems for delivering orders nationwide. Company Officers

Travis Uhl – Travis serves as our Chief Financial Officer. He earned his accounting degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated at the top of his class. In his free time, Travis enjoys running and surfing. Moreover, his faith in Christianity centers and balances his busy lifestyle.

Solange Rousset – Solange serves as our Chief Operations Officer. She is sister to our founder and CEO Milan Rousset. She graduated from the University of Tulsa with a dual degree in political science emphasis in International Relations and Spanish. What makes Solange a particularly successful chief operations officer is her attention to speed and accuracy. She endeavors to ensure that each order placed in our online store is carried through in as efficient manner as possible, while making sure that our family-run company satisfies individual customers’ needs. In her past life, Solange was an avid rower. Also, she takes a special interest in health and spirituality.

Key Employees

Morgan Rousset - Keeping to our family oriented business, Morgan Rousset, brother to founder Milan, is our chief of Customer Service and delivery management. He has knack to balancing the needs of our revered customers and our delivery partners. In his off time Morgan enjoys camping, bike riding and fixing up his home in Costa Mesa, Ca.

Danielle Crowder - Danielle has triumphed in the role of shipping administrator and vendor liaison. She ensures that our shipments are shipped on time and on budget. She is a key reason why our customers enjoy relatively lower wait times than even some of our biggest competitors. Danielle spends every working day ensuring that our customers orders are handled quickly and accurately. We are very proud to have Danielle on our core team!

Alma Niles - Quiet and friendly, Alma takes business practices and claims seriously. If something goes wrong during shipment of our customers goods, we always fix or replace the item for our customers at no cost to them. During this process Alma is behind the scenes negotiating with the shipping/delivery agent or supplier making sure that we can continue to provide our customers with excellent service by getting back some of the lost revenue. Alma is a charm to work with and an asset to the team.

Veronica Dietz - Veronica came to us from local giant Oakley TM. She brought with her an infectious smile, great attitude and the experience it takes to provide hundreds of customers the attention they need to feel comfortable with trusting Furniture From Home with their large online purchase. Veronica is head of inside sales here and an asset to both customers and the team.

Adam Uhl - Staying true to our foundation of family values, Adam is brother to Travis Uhl our CFO. Adam handles accounts payable and ensures that our suppliers and partners get paid accurately and on time! His great attitude and personable demeanor is unlike any accounting clerk out there - He has even gotten letters from customer/fans for how friendly he is! - pretty good for an accounting clerk!
